Twinkie
Dancer
Conway Dancer is one of those miracle kittens you just have to see to believe. This sweet 9-month-old boy was diagnosed with a Liver Shunt Disorder shortly after his arrival at CAHS. Rare in cats, this shunt (a vessel which bypasses the liver) normally dissolves on its own, allowing the kitten’s liver to take over where the mom’s left off. Sadly, this wasn’t the case for little Dancer. His shunt is still functioning, leaving his tiny body loaded with toxins and causing him to live with seizures, dizzy spells, and a number of other ailments. With a future that is uncertain at best, CAHS is asking the community to help us in a fundraising effort to give Dancer a potentially life-saving surgery. We urge you to stop in and witness this amazing creature’s zest for play, darling song, and deep copper eyes for yourself. Once you do, you’ll understand why we think he deserves the best chance in finding his forever home. Donations may be made online at www.conwayshelter.org, dropped off at the shelter at 223 East Main Street in Conway, NH, or sent to: CAHS, PO Box 260, Conway, NH 03818. Please make checks out to “CAHS” and earmark all donations for Dancer. Thank you!

Digger
Sasha

Bangor Sasha is a beautiful calico cat brought to us on the 28th of May as a stray after she was found in the Old Navy parking lot. Because she was a stray we unfortunately do not have a profile filled out on her. If you are interested in visiting this affectionate little girl then feel free to stop on by and pay her a visit.

Squeakie Squeakie- Westbrook - Sporting a velvety gray coat with a white diamond on her chest, Squeakie is a dainty little gem of a cat that likes to sit on sunny window sills and take life at her own sweet pace. Squeakie was adopted about four years ago, but she was returned on St. Patrick’s Day of this year due to allergies in the family. A Meet Your MatchTM purple Private Investigator, Squeakie demonstrates the independent personality of the type. She is shy, but she talks up a storm when she’s spoken to, and she shows every sign of wanting to be close to someone special. Given time, Squeakie may prove to be a wonderful companion for a single person or a couple who understand that the best friendships often take some time to develop. A visit to the veterinarian for a dental check up will be in order, as she has mild tarter. Squeakie would prefer a home with no dogs or children under ten, but she may be fine with a mellow cat or two. Her former owner also reported that she loves men! If a tender soul is something you seek, Squeakie is waiting to curl up in your heart.

Mittsy Mittsy -Lewiston - Mittsy -Mittsy is a three year old spayed female Labrador/Golden Retriever mix.
The nephew who visited frequently was allergic, so it was decided that it would be best for all if I was given the chance to find a new home. I would be considered a highly active noisemaker that is very affectionate, playful and full of surprises. My barking is usually outside, if I am tied up or left alone. I love the outdoors, but also like being with the family inside the home or wherever they may be. I am great with children of all ages and I am good with cats. I have met some of the resident dogs here and I am on my best behavior, but I do appreciate slow introductions. Exercise, playtime and a good release of energy are first and foremost on my mind; right after breakfast. I am 75 lbs. and could stand to lose a few inches. I am very curious and will find my nose into things it should not be into sometimes, but I am not considered a trash picker. I am clever, intelligent and know quite a few commands. I am a strong puller on the leash and need to work on this as I have the capability to drag the average person down the street. Not fun for you!
