What is TWCares?

Time Warner Cable established the TWCares program in June of 2000. The program is designed to help create public awareness about local non-profit organizations throughout New England.

Utilizing a combination of our company's resources, such as production services, cross-channel promotions, billing statement messages, a financial contribution, etc., we will do what we do best — provide needed publicity for these deserving organizations that both serve and enhance our communities. The in-kind value of this award exceeds $50,000.

TWCares is a public service of Time Warner Cable's New England Division. All local Maine and New Hampshire non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply.

How To Apply

The TWCares committee, comprised of employees from various departments within Time Warner Cable's New England Division, selects one non-profit organization from among all applicants to receive the TWCares endowment.

The committee uses an evaluation sheet to score each applicant. The applicant with the highest combined score is selected as the recipient for a two-month period. After the selected organization has been notified, a representative from the Public Affairs and Production departments meet with the organization to discuss their needs, and to see what resources would be most beneficial to them.

All local non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply, and multiple submissions are accepted.

Apply either by filling out and submitting the application form, or by downloading the printable application form and mailing or faxing it to our Portland office at:
